Introduction

The Science One Program spans two university terms for a total of 27 credits. Completion of Science One satisfies the entrance requirements for all second-year courses in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

Students taking Science One may register for up to an additional 11 credits of electives (see UBC Calendar for more information).

With appropriate choice of electives, Science One will also satisfy requirements for entry into all second year programs in the Faculties of Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and others. Students considering transferring out of the Faculty of Science after first year should consult Science One faculty, the UBC Calendar and a Program Advisor to plan elective choices that will facilitate this transition.
